How to tie a tie - The perfect way

Step 1:
Start by buttoning up the top button of your shirt and flip up the collar. Wrap the tie around your neck with the wide part hanging twice the length of the low part. If you are right handed ensure the long part is hanging on your right hand side and in reverse if you are left handed – please see diagram.
Step 2:
Wrap the wide part of the tie around the narrow part once – slightly below your top button of the shirt.
Step 3:
After wrapping the wide part around the narrow part completely, slide the wide part under the knot through the loop (highlighted in blue on the diagram).
Step 4:
Tuck the long, wide end through the knot straight down – tighten slowly while maintaining the desired length – so that the tip of the tie ends up at your belt buckle.
Step 5:
Tighten slowly while maintaining the desired length – so that the tip of the tie ends up at your belt buckle. Hold the thin end of the tie while tightening.
Step 6:
While holding the small, thin end of the tie, pull the knot higher towards your neck and with your fingers smooth out the tie to achieve that perfect look… like the picture below.
